What you will practise
- Reconcile the authored baseline, arrival state, verified initial COPD care, and persistent whole-patient respiratory-acidosis trajectory.
- Review the fixed current suitability, goals, monitoring environment, and airway-capable rescue readiness before a noninvasive-support trial.
- Select a closely monitored bilevel NIV trial for the authored persistent acute-on-chronic acidotic hypercapnic COPD pattern.
- After elapsed time, review the fixed experienced-team first-hour whole-patient and blood-gas response.
- Record monitored continuation with explicit failure triggers and rapid airway-capable reassessment.
- After another elapsed interval, hand off active support, response, unresolved causes, failure triggers, rescue readiness, and named owners.
