Failed obstetric intubation: oxygenation first

Educational use only. Not clinically reviewed

33-year-old woman for obstetric failed-intubation declaration, oxygenation-first coordination, individualized decision-boundary review, reassessment, and active-risk handoff practice. About 6 simulated minutes.

What you will practise

  • Declare failed intubation and activate oxygenation-first shared ownership.
  • Connect attempts, rescue device, ventilation, aspiration, fetal urgency, and the whole person.
  • Review attempt-limit, oxygenation, CICO, awareness, and aspiration boundaries.
  • Review the individualized wake-or-proceed decision and parallel readiness.
  • Review the fixed 3-minute qualified-team course report.
  • Hand off airway, aspiration, awareness, birth, newborn, support, and outcome risk.
