Meconium-stained transition: observe, do not suction routinely

Educational use only. Not clinically reviewed

0-year-old girl for selective-airway-clearing recognition, observation review, reassessment, and active-risk handoff practice. About 6 simulated minutes.

What you will practise

  • Activate prepared newborn, airway, and dyad support.
  • Connect fluid, breathing, tone, heart rate, airway, and the whole dyad.
  • Recognize vigorous meconium-stained transition without routine suction.
  • Review qualified selective-airway-clearing, observation, and escalation boundaries.
  • Review the fixed 30-minute qualified-team report.
  • Hand off respiratory, thermal, feeding, parent, and outcome risk.
