Refractory status epilepticus

Educational use only. Not clinically reviewed

52-year-old man for Refractory status epilepticus rescue. About 9 simulated minutes.

What you will practise

  • Recognize refractory electrographic status after emergent and urgent therapy.
  • Integrate fixed EEG, airway, ventilation, perfusion, medication, and mimic findings without treating immobility as seizure control.
  • Activate expert-selected continuous anesthetic therapy with continuous EEG and organ-support guardrails.
  • Keep time-critical metabolic, toxic, infectious, structural, immune, and medication causes under active review.
  • Reassess EEG seizure burden and systemic physiology without claiming durable control or outcome.
