Routine pediatric inhalational induction

Educational use only. Not clinically reviewed

6-year-old girl for Bilateral myringotomy and tympanostomy tubes. About 7 simulated minutes.

What you will practise

  • Prepare oxygen and fresh-gas flow before starting volatile delivery.
  • Follow end-tidal sevoflurane rather than treating the vaporizer dial as the patient concentration.
  • Reduce delivery as end-tidal agent accumulates and reassess the modeled response.
