Rapid-sequence induction
Educational use only. Not clinically reviewed41-year-old woman for Emergency laparotomy. About 10 simulated minutes.
What you will practise
- Fill the patient's oxygen reserve before giving the first induction drug.
- Give the hypnotic before paralysis, then allow the modeled block to develop.
- Secure ventilation before the oxygen reserve is exhausted.
- Resume delivered ventilation and sustained gas exchange after airway instrumentation.
- Match reversal to the observed block depth and confirm quantitative recovery.
