Arterial-pressure transducer artifact

Educational use only. Not clinically reviewed

58-year-old man for Repair under neuraxial anesthesia. About 6 simulated minutes.

What you will practise

  • Verify an implausible invasive pressure with an independent cuff result before treating the patient.
  • Recognize and remove the hydrostatic pressure offset by recording level-and-zero intent.
  • Use waveform morphology to identify and correct the over-damped pressure system.
